  • You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and purchase Content on the Platform.

  • Individuals between 13 and 18 years of age may use the Platform only under the direct supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to this Agreement.

1.2 Account registration and password security

  • When registering an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information, including your legal name and a valid email address.

  • Your account password must contain at least eight characters, at least one uppercase letter, at least one lowercase letter, at least one digit, and at least one special character.

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share, resell, transfer, or pool your account credentials with any other person.

  • You may register using traditional email and password credentials or via Google OAuth 2.0 social authentication.

2. Course enrollment and lifetime access

When you enroll in a course, technique, or recipe video, you get a license from us to view it via the AMP Academy video player and no other use. You may not transfer or resell content in any way. Lifetime access means you have access for as long as AMP Academy operates and maintains the content.

2.1. When you purchase a Course, Technique, or Recipe Video, the Company grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and stream the purchased Content through the Platform for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

2.4. When you complete 100% of the lessons in a Course, as verified through our video watch telemetry engine, the Platform will automatically generate and issue a Certificate in your name. Certificates provide verifiable proof of completion on the Platform, but do not confer formal academic degrees or government-accredited vocational credentials.

3. Payments, pricing, and currency routing

We offer multi-currency checkout based on your region. Content prices in Sri Lanka are billed in Sri Lankan Rupees, while international buyers are billed in US Dollars.

3.1. Base catalogue prices for all Courses, Techniques, and Recipe Videos are set in United States Dollars (USD).

3.2. The Platform operates a server-authoritative dual-currency checkout system:

  • Buyers located in Sri Lanka are billed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) through the PayHere payment gateway.

  • Buyers located outside Sri Lanka are billed in United States Dollars (USD) through the PayPal payment gateway.

3.3. Sri Lankan Rupee prices are updated monthly based on prevailing Central Bank of Sri Lanka exchange rates, an exchange risk margin buffer, and rounding to the nearest Rs. 100 increment.

3.4. All displayed prices specify applicable taxes at checkout. You are responsible for any foreign transaction or currency conversion fees charged by your card issuer or banking provider.

4. Video streaming and anti-piracy rules

All videos are streamed using encrypted, signed tokens with watermarking and capture deterrents. Downloading, recording, or attempting to pirate our video content is strictly prohibited and results in immediate account termination.

4.1. Video Content is streamed exclusively via Cloudflare Stream using adaptive bitrate HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) and short-lived signed JSON Web Tokens (JWTs).

4.2. You must not download, rip, capture, scrape, screen-record, proxy, or mirror video streams from the Platform.

4.3. The video player incorporates active client-side capture deterrents, including dynamic watermark overlays displaying your registered email address, automated blackout curtains and playback pauses upon window blur or tab switching, screenshot flash interruptions, and right-click context menu restrictions.

4.4. Any attempt to bypass, disable, reverse-engineer, or tamper with signed playback tokens, watermarks, capture deterrents, or Cloudflare R2 media access URLs constitutes a material breach of this Agreement.

4.5. Violation of video protection safeguards will result in immediate account termination without eligibility for a refund, and may subject you to statutory damages and legal prosecution under applicable copyright legislation.

5. AMP Academy rights and content licensing

We own the AMP Academy platform, software, branding, and designs. Instructors retain copyright in their original video recordings and recipes, subject to a distribution license granted to us.

5.1. The Company owns all right, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including website designs, codebases, user interfaces, branding assets, logos, and domain names.

6.1. Culinary professionals wishing to publish Content on the Platform must submit a formal chef application, undergo identity verification, and receive administrative approval.

6.2. All submitted Courses, Techniques, and Recipe Videos must pass administrative quality review prior to publishing. The Company may approve, reject, or request revisions on submitted materials.

6.3. By submitting Content, the Chef warrants that:

  • The Chef is the sole author or authorized licensee of the submitted videos, recipes, images, and text.

  • The Content does not infringe upon any third-party copyright, trademark, trade secret, or proprietary right.

  • The culinary methods and equipment usage demonstrated are accurate and adhere to standard commercial kitchen safety practices.

6.4. The Chef grants the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, royalty-bearing license to host, transcode, stream, market, display, and distribute the Content across the Platform.

6.5. Standard revenue allocation grants the Chef 60% of net sales revenue and the Company a 40% platform commission, unless an alternative rate is agreed in writing.

6.6. Chef earnings are recorded in an append-only ledger (instructor_ledger) and are subject to a mandatory 30-day maturation period from the purchase date to account for potential refunds, chargebacks, or billing adjustments.

6.7. Mature earnings are disbursed via manual payout processing:

  • Disbursements in Sri Lankan Rupees are paid via electronic bank transfer to the Chef's verified Sri Lankan commercial bank account.

  • Disbursements in United States Dollars are paid to the Chef's verified PayPal account, with the reference recorded in administrative logs.

  • Payout requests are subject to a minimum withdrawal threshold of $50.00 USD or the equivalent minimum threshold for local bank transfers.

7. Community guidelines and prohibited behavior

You must use AMP Academy only for lawful, constructive educational purposes. Be respectful in reviews and course Q&A discussions.

7.1. When using the Platform, you must not:

8.3. Neither the Company nor any contributing Chef will be liable for any personal injury, burn, laceration, allergic reaction, foodborne illness, or property damage resulting from your preparation of recipes or execution of techniques demonstrated on the Platform.

8.4. The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

8.5. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total cumulative liability will not exceed the greater of $100.00 USD or the total fees paid by you to the Company in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Account termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, attempt to pirate content, or initiate fraudulent chargebacks.

9.1. The Company may immediately suspend or terminate your account and revoke your access licenses if you commit a material breach of this Agreement, attempt video capture or stream scraping, or initiate an unauthorized chargeback.

9.2. You may delete your account through your account settings. Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day soft-deletion grace period, after which personal data is permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.3. Termination of your account terminates your license to access purchased Content. Paid fees are non-refundable upon termination resulting from your breach of this Agreement.

10. Dispute resolution and governing law

Most disputes can be resolved informally by contacting our support team. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be handled under the laws of Sri Lanka.

10.1. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10.2. Before initiating formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through informal negotiations for at least 30 days following written notice.

10.3. If informal negotiations fail, the dispute must be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka, or resolved by binding arbitration conducted in Colombo, Sri Lanka, under the Arbitration Act No. 11 of 1995 of Sri Lanka.
